Tesla

Electric car maker selling the Model 3 and Model Y in the UK, with its own Supercharger network, the Tesla app and a Semi truck due in 2027.

TrustList summary

Tesla designs and sells battery electric vehicles, and its UK site lists two passenger cars on sale today: the Model 3 saloon and the Model Y midsize SUV. Alongside them it shows the Cybertruck pickup, a Roadster sports car that buyers can reserve as a limited release, and the Semi, a heavy commercial truck whose deliveries are due to start in 2027. Every model runs on electricity alone, and the company pairs its cars with its own charging network and phone app.

Cars and trucks in the range

  • Model 3: a five seat saloon, the company's most affordable model, with up to 332 miles of WLTP range in rear wheel drive form.
  • Model Y: a five seat midsize SUV with 2,118 litres of cargo space and up to 309 miles of WLTP range.
  • Cybertruck: a pickup with a 1,134 kg payload, 4,990 kg towing capacity and integrated power outlets.
  • Roadster: a two seat sports car with active aerodynamics, offered for reservation.
  • Semi: a heavy commercial truck with an estimated range of up to 550 km and 800 kW charging.

Charging and ownership

Tesla runs its own Supercharger network, which it says keeps 99 percent uptime, and the Model 3 and Model Y charge there at up to 175 kW on a pay per use basis. Trip Planner in the car adds Supercharging stops along a route. The Semi uses a separate Megacharger network. Owners control their car through the Tesla app, which offers remote climate control, a phone key, Pet Mode and Sentry Mode, and battery and drive units carry an eight year warranty on the passenger cars.
