Recombee

Recombee provides a recommender and search service that other companies plug into their own sites and apps. It is sold as a service, reached through a REST API, software development kits and low-code widgets. The firm began in 2015 and employs data scientists who develop the models.

What Recombee offers

• Personalised recommendations — home page personalisation, related-item suggestions, email campaign content and stored search criteria.
• Search — a search function that runs alongside the recommendation engine.
• Rule control — clients choose what can be recommended and what is boosted, using a custom query language and an AI assistant for writing rules.
• Integration options — SDKs for several programming languages, an HTML low-code route and developer documentation.
• Analytics — monitoring of measures such as click-through and conversion rates in real time.

Who it works with

The service is aimed at product managers and technical teams in video, sports and live events, e-commerce, news and media, music and podcasts, real estate, travel, recruitment and marketplaces. The site says thousands of sites and apps use it.
