BitSmiths

BitSmiths provides interim CTO leadership for companies that need senior technical ownership but are not ready to hire a full-time executive. It began as a web and mobile app development agency with a head office in London and a development office in Romania, and now steps in to run the technical side for a defined stage of growth.

What BitSmiths offers

• CTO leadership — owning technical direction and aligning product with engineering.
• Team hiring and leadership — defining roles, hiring engineers, managing vendors and setting standards.
• Architecture and decisions — choosing the stack, reducing technical debt and shaping the system design.
• Delivery and reporting — planning cadence, sprints, reporting and documentation to keep work moving.
• Handoff — preparing the move to a permanent internal technical leader.

Who it works with

Its earlier agency work served clients from non-technical startup founders to large corporate organisations; the CTO service targets companies at a growth stage.
