Contact me with the form below, send me an email at c@coryparris com, or give me a call at (206) 778-8664 I had the honor of being the official photographer for the grand opening of the Seattle Convention Center’s new building, Summit It is truly a spectacular building that has 580,000 square feet of event space There were three days of events that I covered The first was the press event and ribbon cutting featuring the state and local politicians that helped to make it happen It was followed by a hospitality event for all of the industry professionals The following day the dedication of the ballroom in honor of the long-time president of the board that started working on the convention center in 1982 And finally, on the third day was the public open house with around 5,000 people in attendance The place is so large, though, that it seemed empty with that many people! Jasmine and Mitch are incredibly nice people They were a joy to talk to as we walked all over Seward Park for the engagement portraits I am very much looking forward to their wedding! I met Andree-Anne and Kyle with a couple of their friends at the Bellevue Downtown Park for some portraits before their wedding at the King County Court in Bellevue They are a very nice couple that I really enjoyed photographing After some portraits we went over to the courthouse for their ceremony and finished off with some family portraits on the grounds

Annette and Chase had a cold and rainy day for their wedding at the Seattle Municipal Court They were troopers and were prepared to brave the elements for some photographs, which I really appreciated They were married in the jury room and we created some portraits on the rooftop deck, inside the courthouse and at a nearby courtyard that I have used a few times Very cool people! Heather and Aaron met me at the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle for their engagement portraits We walked all over the park as we talked and created some very cool portraits for them Fantastic couple! I met Meaghan, JT, their daughter and some family at the Seattle Municipal Court We walked around Seattle taking some images before heading to the courthouse and the rooftop deck Then, they had a beautiful wedding on the roof After the ceremony, I walked them to their hotel and took a few more images Very nice people that were a lot of fun to photograph! As a personal project, I have started what I am calling my Spotlight Series There are so many people working to make things better in some way My vision for the project is that I want to find them, meet them, photograph them, and tell their stories I especially want to lift up people doing things that I may not have known anything about before I met them, or I feel like they deserve some sort of small recognition that I can provide In addition to trying to find people on my own, I would love help in finding worthy, interesting people If you know the perfect person, please email me or fill out my handy nomination form

Brandon has a fantastic story He is formerly a homeless person with substance abuse issues that now runs an apartment building that provides permanent supportive housing for others that have suffered from homelessness

Josh Binda is an amazing young man and I find him inspiring It is easy to go to protests, but it is hard to organize and lead them It is easy to say you want to change things, but it is hard to come up with a plan to make change and to do the work to make it happen When the opportunity presented itself with the Black Lives Matter movement, instead of shrinking to the back, Josh stepped forward and led marches all over Snohomish and parts of King Counties

Jean Wu of The Bread Booth Jean has a system where she, her partners, and her volunteers “connect people with food and love others well ” They do that by gleaning food and giving it out in the community every Monday evening at 6:00 as well as building their community with a Facebook Group

My most recent shoot for the Spotlight Series is Frank and Jason of Shower to the People They provide facilities for homeless people in Everett to shower as well as a few other services that help them feel valued and cared about as well as clean

The first person that I get to tell you about is Ian Bauer He is a lawyer in Seattle that fights for abused kids and elderly people He is also a dad, a music lover, and a former soccer goalkeeper
