AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AGCO) makes Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra tractors and farm machinery, and runs the PTx precision agriculture business covering retrofit guidance, planting technology and autonomous tillage.
AGCO Corporation is a farm machinery maker listed on the New York Stock Exchange as AGCO. It describes itself as the largest pure-play agricultural machinery manufacturer in the world and says its portfolio has been assembled through acquisitions since 1990. Its leading brands are Fendt, Massey Ferguson, PTx and Valtra, and it runs a customer approach it calls Farmer-First.
The machinery side covers tractors, harvesting, hay and forage, planting and soil preparation, crop care, material handling, power generation and water management, plus AGCO Power engines, parts, finance and protection services. Supporting brands include Precision Planting, PTx Trimble, Gleaner and Sunflower. In the precision agriculture and autonomy area, the company's PTx team sells technology for use across the crop cycle: retrofit kits that work on equipment of any make, factory-fit options for AGCO and partner machines, and data tools for planning, in-season work and analysis. PTx Trimble's OutRun is an autonomous tillage retrofit that won a Davidson Prize in 2026. The history page records the 2024 launch of PTx, the joint venture with Trimble in which AGCO took an 85 percent interest for $2.3 billion, the 2022 purchase of JCA Industries for autonomous software, and the creation of AGCO Ventures for early-stage investments.
The audience is farmers and the dealers who serve them. Its global reach page shows dealer counts by region, drawn from the 2025 annual report, and a Find a Dealer search. The site offers its content in nine languages. In October 2026 it signed an agreement with Agility Robotics to pilot the Digit humanoid at its Hesston, Kansas plant from 2027, for parts sorting and tote handling.
Eric Hansotia is chairman, president and chief executive, and has led the company since 1 January 2021. Indira Agarwal is chief financial officer and Damon Audia leads PTx and corporate strategy. The about page states about 24,000 employees.
