Zootrition is a comprehensive database that provides zoo and wildlife managers with a powerful tool to compare nutritional content of specific food items and calculate overall nutritional composition of diets

Potential nutritional deficiencies and toxicities can be identified and additional information specific to local regions can be added by users *Dietary management system that lets wildlife and zoo managers assess physical condition of animals, manage nutritional data, and calculate calories.

Zootrition - A Dietary Management Software

Contains nutritional data on more than 3000 feedstuffs, with data derived from published information for human, livestock, pet, and wild foods

Estimated daily calorie or joule requirements for a variety of mammals, birds, and reptiles easily calculated by standardized equations, based on body weights, feeding habits, activity levels and/or physiological state

Information on published requirements for livestock, pet, and wildlife species of differing production states or physiological stages available for diet assessment/ targets

Combining amounts and information from the Ingredients Database, you are able to create diets and feeding records including schedules/preparation details "In-House" Mixes (for example green salad, fruit, vegetable or seed mixes) can be saved separately for use as a single Ingredient in complex diets

Using the comparison module, composition of multiple feedstuffs and/or diets and/or recommendations can be simultaneously compared in a spreadsheet format

Tools for scaling diet preparation, ingredient bulk ordering, and food delivery reports are available by linking basal diets with animal inventory, location and enclosure details

Customizable Summary and Detailed reports can be created for printing/saving/sharing within various modules (Diets, Ingredients, Recommendations, Comparisons, Orders)
