How Piin works

Piin uses your smartphone’s built-in GPS, in combination with Google Places, to enable local search and discovery of like-minded people in places around you. Check in to your favorite spots and find people who match your intent where you are and in places nearby. You state how long you are free for and once you match with someone you can meet right away. The intent options are Date, Hangout and Network. You will only see people with the same intent.

Group hangouts

Create a piin with 2 to 4 people to check in as a group. Date, hangout or bring a wingman. The more the merrier. Make memories and build your tribe.

Blur your profile pics​

Whatever your reasons for wanting to go incognito, you can choose to reveal your profile images only to people you've matched with.

**Social media and swiping apps have to lead to a huge increase in mental health issues, loneliness and they have contributed to the general decline in people’s abilities to approach one another in the real world. When we are rushing around in our busy schedules, with our heads in our smartphones, we miss so many life-changing opportunities to meet amazing people.

We let you choose when you’re on the app, whether or not you are visible, who you want to meet and what you want to meet them for. No dodgy algorithms.

You don't have to be checked in

You don’t need to check in to discover interesting people. You can use our advanced filters to find someone cools up to 100 miles from your sofa! Yay. (But seriously, get off the sofa).
